(RTTNews) - Cooper Companies (COO), a medical device company, announced the opening of The Vision Centre, CooperVision's new global innovation hub, and unveiled six major product advancements planned for launch over the next several years.

CooperCompanies operates through its two business units, CooperVision and CooperSurgical. CooperVision develops and manufactures contact lenses, while CooperSurgical provides products and services focused on fertility and women's healthcare.

The Vision Centre, based in Southampton, England, brings together CooperVision's research and development, clinical expertise, pilot manufacturing, advanced technologies and commercial capabilities to support the development and commercialisation of new products.

The Vision Centre will serve as a global hub for research, clinical studies, product development and new product introduction programs. The facility will also use digital tools, data science, analytics and AI-enabled capabilities to support product development and commercialisation, the company said.

- a family of one-day contact lenses for myopia control, - a premium one-day silicone hydrogel technology, - a next-generation SiHy material for monthly lenses, - an entry-level one-day SiHy product, - a one-day SiHy toric multifocal lens and - a new one-day toric lens for patients with astigmatism.

CooperVision said the six product advancements are part of its broader contact lens pipeline, supported by continued investment in science, technology and clinical research.

Cooper Companies said it will continue investing in CooperVision's commercial operations and innovation and plans to provide additional updates in the coming quarters.

COO has traded between $51.01 and $89.83 over the last year. The stock closed Wednesday's trade at $56.07, up 1.41%.

In the overnight market, COO is down 0.16% at $55.98.
